How to add Printers to MacOS

Prior to submitting a ticket, it's advisable to verify if you're able to independently install printers. Certain computers grant staff the capability to install printers using their assigned username and password.

 

If you discover that your computer doesn't permit standard users to install printers, please submit a ticket here.

 


 

 

Begin by clicking on the Apple icon located at the top left corner and then choose "System Preferences."

 

 

 

Next find the Printer Icon 

 

 

 

Select the Printer you are replacing and click the minus button.

 

 

 

Click the plus button to add the new printer 

 

 

Now search for the printer you want

Note that the printer name will include the model of the printer at the end.

 

 

 

After selecting the printer, wait for the computer to acquire the driver. It may display a specific printer driver or a generic one like "Secure AirPrint".

Once it's loaded, click on "Add."
